1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Ospo handles personal information when you visit or use Space, including its feed, profiles, posts, messages and collaboration features. Ospo operates Space and is responsible for the processing described here. Space uses the shared Ospo ID account system. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests. Other Ospo products may explain their additional processing separately.

2. Information you provide

We process your Ospo ID account information, such as your email, username, profile details, country and any phone number you provide for verification. We also process the content you submit: posts, captions, audio titles, uploaded media, comments, messages, collaboration requests and reports. Support requests may include information you choose to send us. Avoid including sensitive information about yourself or others unless it is necessary and you have authority to share it.

3. Activity and technical information

Space records activity needed for its features, including follows, likes, saved posts, reposts, message participants and forwarding counts. Our hosting and security systems process connection information such as IP addresses, request times, browser or device details and error information to deliver and protect the service. Country detection uses the network connection to return an approximate country; it does not request GPS coordinates. A VPN or network routing can affect the result.

4. Why we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, display and deliver content, enable messages and collaboration, remember preferences, provide notifications, respond to support requests and keep the service working. We also use relevant information to investigate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot errors and meet legal obligations. Depending on the purpose and applicable law, processing is based on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing it, legal obligations or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing by contacting support; withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing.

5. What other people can see

Public profiles, posts, comments and reposts can be viewed and shared by other people, including signed-out visitors. Your saved-post collection is associated with your account and is not a public profile collection. Messages are available to their participants and are processed by the service to deliver them. Do not assume messages are end-to-end encrypted. Authorised access may be needed for support, security, abuse investigations or legal requirements. Other people can retain screenshots or copies of public content and messages they receive.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to run Space, including Cloudflare for hosting and delivery and Supabase for account, database and storage services. Verification and support delivery may also involve communication providers. When Ovar AI replies are enabled and you choose to use them, recent messages from that chat are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. You can request a human agent instead. A handoff shares that conversation and earlier handed-over chats with authorised staff; other private Ovar chats are not shown in the staff inbox. These providers process information needed for their services. We may disclose relevant information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect people and the service from fraud, abuse or security threats. If ownership of the service changes, relevant information may transfer as part of that change, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

7. Storage and international processing

Information is held in Ospo’s service infrastructure and the infrastructure of its providers. Depending on the service and provider configuration, processing may occur outside your country, including outside Tanzania. International processing is subject to applicable data-protection requirements. Contact support if you need details about where your account information is processed or the safeguards applicable to a transfer.

8. Cookies and device storage

Space and Ospo ID use browser storage and session mechanisms to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as language, country and interface settings. Clearing browser data may sign you out or reset these preferences. Blocking storage needed for authentication can prevent account features from working. Your browser provides controls for cookies and stored site data.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep account information and content while needed to provide the service, and retain relevant records where needed for security, legal obligations or disputes. Account closure blocks sign-in immediately and starts a 30-day recovery period before permanent cleanup is scheduled. Closing an Ospo ID affects associated Ospo services, not only Space. Shared records, reports, protected transactions and backup copies may remain for longer where necessary. Deletion cannot remove copies independently saved by other people. Contact support for questions about particular records.

10. Your choices and rights

You can edit available profile details and manage your content through Space. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your information, object to processing, withdraw consent, or ask about automated processing that affects you. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Email [email protected]; do not send passwords or verification codes. You may also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority. In Tanzania, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.go.tz.

11. Security and younger users

We use access controls and other technical measures to protect accounts and information, but no online service is completely secure. Keep credentials private and report suspected unauthorised access. Users must meet the legal requirements for using Space in their country. If you believe a child has provided information without required permission, contact support so we can review the account and take appropriate action.

12. Policy changes and contact

We update this policy when our practices or requirements change. The revision date appears at the top of this page. Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through Space or your account contact details. For questions, privacy requests or concerns, email [email protected].
